This is the best reference for the securities industry. I am new to the industry but in a high level position. This is the book that our Complance officer is using to bring me up to speed on terminology and concepts. Better than a textbook. Just remember that it is basically a dictionary -NOT a textbook – so if you need a textbook I would suggest getting this as a supplement to it.

I’m a Reverse Mortgage Originator and my clients find me at www.reversemortgagelender.org . Since they find me via the internet, I talk to people from all over the Country and explain to them how Reverse Mortgages work. I also provide them with a copy of Reverse Mortgages for Dummies (when possible). Even though the book is somewhat out of date now, it still contains the fundamental principles of Reverse Mortgages and helps them understand how this unique loan works. My goal is for them to be comfortable with the loan and respond to their questions after they’ve read the book. One of my recent clients from Alabama me his wife picked it up at the local bookstore and he started reading it when he went to bed and didn’t finish until 5AM the following morning, he liked the book so much. His wife started reading it after breakfast and finished around supper-time.
